The tourist visa to stay in the Dominican Republic is valid for 30 days and is included in the airline ticket. What is the correct procedure if a person wants to stay longer?
It's possible to make a tourist visa extension in the first 30 days of stay, the "Prórroga de Estadía". This extends the validity of the visa up to a total of 120 days (30 + 90 days).

REQUIREMENTS.
Copy of passport page showing photo, dates and signature.
Date stamp of last entry.
Return ticket.
Own financial solvency (credit card).
Medical certificate, to be made to a duly licensed Dominican doctor with "exequatur".
PROCEDURE
1- The user submits the request for an extension through the web portal and uploads the necessary documents. ( https://servicios.migracion.gob.do/reentry/request )
2- The responsible staff receives the online application and filters the documents provided by the user.
3- The responsible staff approves the extension request.
4- An e-mail is sent to the user informing about of the status of his/her application.
5- The user pays for the stay online or at the airport.
FEES
There is no charge for the Dominican Immigration Service.
You will only pay the going rate based on the number of extension days requested.
- 30 to 90 days - 2.500 DOP
- 90 to 120 days - 4.000 DOP
